It was a little cloudy as Minulziran made her way from the docks to the healing houses, and it reflected her mood. Zaira was starting to slip away again, and she was fearing there was very little she'd be able to do.
She paused, watching the merchants and traders doing their daily business. People hawking this or that, the smell of greasy foods and sweet bread - it made her feel a little dizzy, in a good sort of way. A man bumped into her and coughed, and she patted his back and smiled before continuing on her way.
Zaira, unfortunately, wasn't there, and she frowned, folding her arms and shaking her head. She knew where Zaira probably was, and it rather pissed her off. Turning on her heal, she walked past the main building. Inside, some healers were treating a man, their voices drifting out, "Third one today. Found this one in Castle Quarter, but the others were all dockworkers, probably spent too much time in Gatetown..."
She passed by, her mind wrapped up in her own matters. Mostly having to do with Zaira. She thought about Zaira a lot these days, much to her own chagrin. She wasn't the type to settle down with any one person - and getting more overtly involved with another woman would utterly ruin her social standing.
She was not particularly caring though, and she sighed, stuffing her hands in her pockets and heading into Gatetown, where she was sure that she'd need to drag Zaira out of whatever gutter she was laying in.
